FAQs

What does my dog need to bring for boarding?

We have lots of beds, bowls, toys, and crates; so all they will need is their food and any medications they are currently taking. Of course, they are welcome to also bring a special toy or treat to make their stay more comfortable!

What should I expect when my dog first arrives for boarding?

Whether it’s their first time here or they’ve been staying with us for years, we always make sure any other dogs are away so the new dog can go to the bathroom and get comfortable before we slowly bring the other dogs out one by one. We don’t want any dogs to feel overwhelmed. We both have a lot of experience with dogs/dog behavior and our #1 goal is to make sure everyone feels comfortable!

How often will I receive updates while they’re boarding?

We send picture and/or video updates every 2-3 days letting you know how your pup is doing, and so you can see all the fun they’re having! Of course, if any problems arise, we reach out immediately to let you know, but otherwise you have fun on your vacation while your pup has fun with us!

Can I transfer unused training sessions towards boarding accommodations?

Training packages are purchased separately from boarding. We require everyone to schedule all (4) sessions within 1 year of purchase to reap the full benefits of growth between their dog and themselves. Unused training sessions cannot be transferred to boarding accommodations for this reason.

Do you use kennels/crates?

Yes, for the safety of the dogs, all the dogs are in crates to sleep in at night and whenever we are away from the house. We do not want something to happen when they are unattended. Most dogs that stay with us enjoy their crate time (even if they have never been crate trained before) as it is their own space away from the other dogs where they can relax and decompress.

How many hours are you out of the house?

Typically 1-2 hours a day, and this is when the dogs enjoy their crate nap.
